Friday Apr 24, 2020
Friday Apr 24, 2020
In Psalm chapter 42 it talks about Gods love being like a roar of a waterfall or like waves sweeping over us knocking us off our feet and being swept along with his currents. There is a challenge there, are we willing to let go and to give everything over to God, to jump in and let him take us where he wants us to go?

Episode 22 - Sensing Grace
Wednesday Apr 22, 2020
Wednesday Apr 22, 2020
Sensing grace was the first chapter that I ever created for the presence project. The verse from Matthew chapter 6 sums up what this project is about, finding a quiet secluded place and being there as simply and as honestly as you can before God. It's in these special moments that I get a sense of who God is, it brings me peace and stillness that is good for my soul.

Episode 20 - Be Still
Saturday Apr 18, 2020
Saturday Apr 18, 2020
Psalm 46:10 it says Be Still and Know that I am God. A lot of our times we set aside to pray are filled with requests for God to do things for us, it’s almost like a shopping list. But here in the Psalm it’s saying to be still and know that he is God.
So Today as we listen to the music & poetry inspired by this Psalm let’s just take the time to be still, no list of requests, no agenda and just know that God is God.

Thursday Apr 16, 2020
Thursday Apr 16, 2020
In Psalm 27: 4 David asks and seeks one thing and that is to be in God’s presence gazing, eyes fixed on the beauty of God. Just imagine staring at something so beautiful that you can’t take your eyes of it.
Today as we listen to the music & poetry inspired by this Psalm let’s ask the question that David did.
"One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple."

Episode 18 - Home
Tuesday Apr 14, 2020
Tuesday Apr 14, 2020
Home for a lot of people is a place of safety. To feel at home is to feel relaxed, stress free, a place where we can just be ourselves and be loved and accepted. Although it does have it’s challenges especially as now I am trying to home school, that’s certainly not stress free! For others sadly home represents something a lot worse, the totally opposite to what I have been talking about - I just can’t imagine what they must be going through at this time.
In Psalm 91 verses 1 to 2 it talks about God being our refuge and our fortress.
Today as we listen to the music & poetry inspired by this notion of God being our security spend time praying, giving your worries & concerns over to God and just sit and be still in his presence. Also being mindful of the people where their home isn’t a refuge and a place of safety.
